40% of trading is programmed trading. Do you think the computers care what MSFT's earnings are going to be? No. They only care about hitting fibonacci's, trendlines, support, resistance, Moving Averages, and cycles.

Would it be fair to assume that there are few sellers in this market and that these trading programs are set to sell at certain levels that may have been barely reached if at all yet? I guess my question is what happens when the humans return from vacation...
