Petz, first, I have not ever said that the cost is hidden from the shareholders. I did, however, claim that there is a cost to the shareholders, since issuing more shares means that each shareholder gets a smaller piece of the pie. I am not going to demand a larger piece, since my measly holdings doesn't amount to a hill of beans compared to some of AMD's executives. However, I think the principle of rewarding executives in such a way is not deserved if the company is having such a hard time with respect to profits and revenues. In the case of Rivet, he was hired during AMD's boon year, but this still does not exclude this compensation as a frequent behavior.

Lastly, I have not seen your SEC documentation. You must be thinking of someone else. Therefore, I would appreciate if you enlightened me about how AMD amortizes these costs, and where it shows up on the balance sheet. TIA.
