I respect your opinions, though I may not always agree with them.

Assuming for the moment that the Greenspan Gambit does exist, as you assert, it would appear to me that a strong bond market with corresponding low long-term interest rates is much more critical to the overall economic recovery than the stockmarket, and thus much more important to the success of the Gambit, so why would Greenspan "pull the rug out from under them [i.e. the bond market]" and "not pull the rug from under the equity markets" as you state?

Perhaps the equity markets continue to rally simply because more people believe in the second half recovery than people who don't, and when that perception changes, the rally will be over?
