Xan, The more I think about it, I believe central avenue does go through the west side. One of my buddies worked in the austin district(15) several years back. It was a rough area. He mentioned central avenue, as well as madison street. I believe it was a small district just a 3 or 4 mile radius. If you want I can double check with my friend.
