Not likely before today. Could be new shorts today betting on a decline after the big run-up.
Short Interest/Sales only posted twice per month, so day-to-day numbers are not available.

"...There's a HUGE short position in this ticker. ..."

"It is easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled."

For those that don't get it, it means that people need to be more careful, and do good due diligence.
