Apparently the east (well, east of the rockies) is having a basically uneventful weather regime. Out west, we have had record-for-the-date temps for a few days, but there are so many fires now that the drift smoke is giving us a little shade.

I have a huge old restored house that has significant thermal mass, and since it cools way down at night here on the high desert, life is good. the suffer index is only equivalent to two gin and tonics.
