Have they stated they've already done this? Or have they stated, they "plan to"?
The bottling plant, or any manufacturing or industrial use, is not allowed per zoning but that doesn't mean they can't apply for a variance. I would hope Gerry and Kevin know this.
The Town of Catskill is losing population and wages aren't rising. Town Board's tend to be accommodating to variances in such situations. But it takes time.
To buy any property and redevelop it (talking commercial properties here) takes an average of two years to get the new product to market. When variances and special use permits enter the equation, the turnaround time only increases.
