Well if they need to do that you have to ask why when they should already own the control block.

Now they certainly may need shares to pay themselves etc but it's all part of due diligence.

Since you get to speak to him you have advantage others need to actually figure things out.

I will remain skeptical until the story make sense which so far it doesn't.
