The reason he said to buy gas was he listened to someone else who didn't know what he was saying - the weatherman. It was suspose to be an extremely cold winter, but it wasn't. I learned my lesson about listening to the weatherman this summer. We were due to have more and worse hurricanes than last summer, so I plunked down $1600 for a Honda generator (I wasn't going to go without electricity for a week or more again) and it turns out to be one of the tamer summers.
