Arena obesity partnership.

I have to agree that there seems to be some kind of problem partnering Lorcaserin. A year ago Lief was saying they expected to be able to sign a deal shortly after PII results.

Presumably Arena is asking too much and big Pharmas are too nervous about valvulopathy risks. Maybe they are afraid of bad publicity if something goes wrong in the PIII - safer to wait a while. Really wondering if any big pharma is going to want its name associated with Phen-Fen.

With all the liability issues now, maybe each drug needs to be firewalled off into its own corporation somehow. Why expose all your assets to law suits? Maybe the whole drug industry doesn't make economic sense any more.

Even old stuff like diclofenac turns out to be poison.
