You have patience to try and explain things out like this.

I saw the 10-Q, crunched the numbers, thought to myself, "This is better than anticipated."

Then I come to the board and see people saying all kinds of nonsense, acting like the sky is falling.

Question is; are they intentionally misrepresenting information in an attempt to get a lower entry, or do they genuinely not understand the facts and figures?

Either way, I had a laugh and went on with my life.
