We have that in MA. You can promise the town that you will offer them first right of refusal for fair market value if you sell the land and get a tremendous discount off your local property taxes. Problem is that when these large tracts of land come due the local townspeople cannot afford this price tag to just let the land sit. It's truly a stupid program.
