Strategy to me is this. They know they are going to lose market share in their bread n butter so they will keep investors distracted with improving revenue elsewhere hopefully enough to grow top line.
While that is going on they will be working on a new hip/knee product to launch with their robotic arm. They need a differentiating product to recapture lost market share and hopefully that will also help them gain market share in the robotic arm market...carryover effect. That's how I would play it if I was them.
