I think the recent increase is well within the "countermove" expected. Surely, we almost touched 1700 on the Naz and were above 9300 on the Dow, but the new highs were less than half what they were at the peak in July (and June) where the az reached 1758 and the Dow just an iota above 9400. If leadership was expanding, we should be closer if not higher than these numbers and of course, the volume here is much more tepid than on the last two peaks . I think that I am getting ready within days (possibly tomorrow) to issue a "to the hills" call rather than become bullish. I was bullish at 1640 (cash down under 10% during the day and even went to sleep close to 20%), here I went to sleep at 62% cash.
