Supreme court, PA, and R&R Obama care. Those are the three most important promises he made his base. So two of three he has hit a home run. We have yet to see on health care. I think what the senate ends up with will not make his base happy, and I think he would still sign it. Who knows?
Once an entitlement has been handed out, it's dam near impossible to pull back. That is what his base wants, but probably not going to happen. So the underhanded deceitful way in which Obama care was passed (reconciliation) is what has caused resentment towards Obama care. We don't want our country to be Socialist, and that is what Obama care was designed to do, because it was designed to fail so it could be replaced with single payer.
So here we sit with an even more fucked up health care system, that can not possibly pay or exist on it own merits, and the democrats think we should just go along and move towards socialism which will financially destroy the country.
The only real solution that would be healthy for the country, is a COMPLETE repeal of Obama care, and a new health care plan that is passed as a non-reconciliation bill with bipartisan votes. Trump would be your best bet to negotiate that with dems, but there is to much anger and resentment for them to even cooperate with themselves.
