The moment they achieved step 7 their market cap flew as institutions bought in. Current market cap of $800 million.

BLDV is no different - when I first invested in Aurora it was exactly at this point, with many investors spewing glass. Now it's uplisted to the TSX. Again, they started with almost 0 funding initially.
