You are both right and wrong about filings. They do tell you quite a bit and are factual.

What filings tell you is what happened in the previous period and mostly do not include information that has happened in the last 45 days to as much as 135 days ago. That span of times get longer as you move away from the last filings.

The point being that filings don't provide information on current events.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
