Against All Enemies has quite a bit of information about how the Clinton admin went after bin Laden (although unsuccessfully) and was written by a live long republican who served under Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton and was asked to stay on for the Bush 2 admin. He was the expert on al quaeda and involved in the heart of these activities.

So, if you want to really understand what the Clinton admin did or didn't do... or what the Bush admin did and didn't do... this book is well worth reading.

The Price of Loyalty has a focus a little different but corroborates much of what Bush 2 did or didn't do... and is, again, written by a live long republican asked to be part of the Bush 2 admin.
