mlsoft.watch bonds tomorrow.fed removed the word substantial.

Bill Tedford, fixed-income analyst with Arkansas-based Stephens Capital Management, found significance in the Fed panel's removal of the word "substantial" from its description of falling inflation risks.

This, said Tedford, means the central bankers are even more assured that deflation -- persistent falling prices -- is not a problem.

The Fed members are optimistic about the recovery going forward, reinforcing the bear trend that has dominated bond trading in recent weeks. Read more on the Fed.
