MAJOR CNN STORY ON CHILD SAFETY DEVICES - FULL ALERT
Ok, here's the details of the CNN big story THAT JUST WAS ON TONIGHT. It was long, about 7 to 10 minutes long.....They said about 2400 kids a year get run over by "backover accidents". The had Hillary Clinton on talking about making legislation requirements for manufacturers to be required to have some safety feature.
The CNN reported showed a view from the rear view mirro and side mirros....all was clear, right? Well, he got out of the SUV and there were 29 kids behind the vehicle that no mirror could see.
car blind spot was 18'1", SUV blind spot was 25' 10" and truck blind spot was 46' 9".....imagine a school bus' blind spot....sheesh
they said the design in SUV's makes it really bad.....and you know how many families drive those!
they said 2 kids a week are killed. A rep from SUV Owners of America was on saying these safety devices would raise the price of SUV to an unafordable status (BS!), but the reoprt said to retro fit a safety feature, would cost about $1000.....I imagine it would be cheaper installing safety feature new if required by legislation.....maybe half that price........the story asked "can we put a price tag on the life of a child?"
They said the numbers of kids getting killed is growing...
All I can say, is, I bet we're gonna see a spike in the price tomorrow with some nice amount of buying over this.....imagine Hillary Clinton having legislation passing requiring this on all new vehicles being made.,.....if you haven't been to the i**b board to see the DD there on the awsome connections ATWT has to major bus manufacturers, then you need to go visit.......I see a perfect storm brewing here for a major PPS rise.
