One of my close friends is a DFL delegate from the Range. For obvious reasons I will not disclose the name. I was informed on Saturday night that the bills that Dayton has currently vetoed are Republican majority bills that contain language to do away with this bullshit: nonsense public review periods; extreme financial assurance costs and the like. Of course the public is not made privy to the exact word for word language at this juncture. I hope the Republicans stick to their guns. At some point Dayton will start crying and inform Minnesotans that he will have to shut down the state and line items will start being removed by the Republicans. Let us pray that the Republicans do not take the mining language out. If that happens, according to my source, we have both the GOP and DFL wiling to compromise the future of mining!
I am so happy Mining has a Republican government right now. We just need a Republican Governor!
The Range DFL Delegation is extremely embarrassed right now and this information has not hit the news in Northern Minnesota.
