The year 2017 is shaping up to be one of the busiest in the company’s history as major permit applications are being processed by the state. Final permits are necessary before we can build and operate the mine and processing facilities.
With all that’s happening, we want to make sure you’re up to date and informed. We will provide additional updates as draft permits are rolled out over the summer.
Permitting
Having completed its initial review and analysis of the Water Appropriations Permit application, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources sent the application to local units of government and appropriate tribes in April for a 30-day review that ended yesterday. We anticipate a draft permit to go out on public notice after consideration of any feedback received from these organizations. A draft permit, incorporating comments received, would be subject to public review and comment in the near future.
