NYT article on anti-drug antibodies: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/15/health/immune-system-drugs-monoclonal-antibodies.html Eventually doctors discovered that Magglio’s body was producing antibodies to the very drug saving his life. It is a problem few patients and doctors have ever heard of; indeed, the phenomenon has not been systematically studied. I find this statement astonishing. For instance, many hemophiliacs develop antibodies against FXIII or FIX replacement drugs. Also see #msg-129374677.
