Flobewan, I had a big problem with wasp going up under where vinyl siding joins my brick. Don't know whether the nests were in my walls or attic. It was dangerous to even go out on my patio (wife allergic to wasp sting). Read somewhere to spray WD-40 where they were congregating and going under the siding. Sprayed those areas good 2 years ago and haven't had a problem since. My Terminix guy said they didn't like the oily stuff on their feet.
Cheap remedy if it works for you.
