Comfort food? <g>

I think not, Justin. Wasn't as bad as it looked when I went out for the papers about 3 hours ago. Just finished two hours of Perry Mason on the Hallmark channel. Checking in before attempting a little walk. Then shower time and off on a couple of errands before Perry Mason starts up again at 2:00. I love that show. This is the fifties b&w original version. One of the best parts is seeing bit players who hit the big time later. None so far today.

Saw my millworker neighbor's wife out for one of her daily walks on my way to fetch the news. Asked her if would be all right if I called her husband to ask him to check out my retaining wall. She said yes. Going to try to get him out here after 3:30 this afternoon if the promised rain holds off. I need someone who knows what they're looking at before I proceed.

Hmmmm... not sure if I should be flattered with the association with old people... LOL. I'd love to have the money to not need an income but I would need to do something... I think. <g>

I'm starting to believe that the most important thing is to keep moving. My neighbor's wife and yesterday's visitor are both peers of my mother. Both walk extensively and the two of them move like much MUCH younger women. Magic House Mama's mama had no trouble with my treacherous stairs... both outside the house and down into the basement. My mother has to grab for anything she can and hold on for dear life trying to get up and down the same sets of stairs.

Yipe. Wind is starting to blow outside. Better get this 52-year-old rear end in gear pronto!
Later,
