I'm surprised Brown let's you do this in an IRA. I used to have a Roth at Brown (now moved it to IB) but I don't think I ever tried to reuse the money the same day. As far as I am aware, brokerages must conform to SEC rules that do not allow reuse of money in IRAs until the trade clears.
