Good advice th...

LOL at the school of fish swimming past your window. This kind of pea soup is GROSS! I have yet to get it together to go for the morning papers. If I don't suffocate on the way to the car, I may try a short walk. I had considered trying to mow the lawn while the rain holds off but think I'll can that. Ground is saturated. I can tell as the stream continues downstairs. The grass will be there when this mess dries out at the end of the week.

Think I have the beginning of a BIG problem with the retaining wall holding up my parking area. Noticed two waterfalls coming out of it during downpours... took a closer look. It is made of those thick treated railroad ties type of wood nailed together with thick spikes. Where the water was pouring through, they have separated. A corner piece is missing wood around one of the spikes. I'm hoping the wall can be reinforced without dismantling it... at minimal cost. I may ask my neighbor who is a millworker and knows everyone in this area to take a look at it and tell me what he thinks. Also wondering if it is something my brother can do. I hate to bother him these days as he has forsaken his birth family for the one he married into... however...

I know his work and the last few get togethers he seemed happy to be around his sisters again. We'll see.

I know something has to be done before this freakin' mess freezes and expands. Kee-rap.

100 in London... those folks must be ready to croak. I can't drink beer when it is hot out. I too go running for the cold water. TG for air conditioning. <g>

Still happy to have the saturation over the drought.
