wind up

The process of settling accounts and liquidating assets in anticipation of dissolution.

(Dissolution is the ending of the corporation).

wind down

The process of slowing or reducing operations to a level less than prior to the wind down occurring.

(The reduction of our capital buffers is a form of wind down).
