Status?

I was wondering also why the company ever did a public listing. It looks like most of the profit is paid out as salaries, leaving the outstanding shares with no real use or purpose.

Do you know or remember why the company originally issued shares? I do not get the impression that they really needed the capital. The only use for having the shares publicaly traded would be if the insiders decided to sell the company in pieces, but with the stock trading so poorly, I can't see where that would do help.
