In the last few months I have seen one or two ( 2 I think) new ones in actual production with rapidly growing volume that eliminated the flammable electrolyte already, that is used in Lithium ion batteries. They show a journalist cutting the cell with scissors and stabbing it with a knife while it still powered a device in one!!!!

I forget if it was still lithium ( I think it was) or if it was the new sodium battery I saw. One or two I forget. One of them was on TV on PBS the last 8-12 weeks, the one where they cut it while it was powering a tool. I have the link buried in my notes on my PC somewhere. The other IIRC was huge sodium based batteries being built and sold for solar and wind power storage.....Back up power. They had massive production and sales already. May have been on PBS business news?

Superman thanks for the link! BTW my brother and I were sodium and lithium in 1980 in ours with an unknown at the time organic polymer!!!!
