This agency has illegally nationalized Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac which has stolen countless billions of dollars from taxpayers. There is talk of eliminating these organizations. These organizations are the reason the middle class can buy a home - the 30yr mortgage. The GSEs have stopped the boom/bust mortgage cycle since their creation with the exception of the 2000's when mortgage banking rules became the wild west and the GSEs were used to save the worldwide economy by being forced to but 100's of billions of dollars in bad mortgages in order to stop the financial institutions from imploding. The GSEs need to be allowed to keep their income and allowed to be released from Conservatorship. I can't believe this was allowed to happen in the USA - maybe in Venezuela or Russia, but not here. This group needs to be reworked so this sort of nationalization can never happen again.
Any other ways to reform the Government:
Actually put people in jail for stealing and cheating the government. Senator Bob Corker would be a good place to start for his dealings with the GSEs.
