I've got to give you credit, Trueheart, you go through a lot to do things right, especially for just two anchor bolts.

The two part that I described in my original reply is Simpson brand. We get it from the building supply that is the regional distributor for Simpson and the only place around that stocks a huge inventory of Simpson connectors, even stainless steel items. Down here, we call them hurricane straps; y'all probably call them earthquake straps.

Every time they show obliterated homes hit by tornados in the mid section of the country, I look at the wreckage and never see any straps. They probably wouldn't do much good in a direct hit by an F4 or F5, but would make a big difference in lesser storms.
