CHAPTER 3: INDUSTRY AND MARKET

New energy vehicles have become the focus of the Chinese government to support the strategic emerging industries, and in this area, the most significant market and products is the electric taxi. In China, for many cities to provide electric taxi products currently have two major brands, BYD E6 and Beiqi E150EV, but in the recent years the operation of the vehicle performance, is far from meeting the market requirements. These four shortcomings make all the electric taxis that are in operation are lame ducks, whether it is a taxi driver or a taxi company, only to be able to survive with additional policy concessions or monetary subsidies, so that the electric taxi to become the government's continued burden to spend taxpayer money in exchange for the "image project", seriously affects the reputation of electric vehicles. In this case, I developed the company's 330 km battery electric dual-mode electric car which successfully solves the four problems troubling electric taxi, it can become a comprehensive alternative to fuel taxi replacement, the market prospect is extremely promising.

According to statistics, more than 600 cities in China having a total of 1.6 million taxis, coupled with the booming special use cars in recent years, the total number is more than 2 million. In accordance with the State Council to develop the 13th Five-Year Development Plan, by 2020 up to 50% of the fuel taxis to be gradually replaced by electric vehicles, which means that the next five years the Chinese market demand for electric taxis will reach more than 1 million vehicles.
