George W. Bush may strike Iran not only because of a military rationale that his advisors assemble but because he wants to reassure the world that America still has the backbone and capacity to hit other countries -- ironically undermining the very perception of power he is trying to transmit.

Who is left to "assemble". They are now recalling people who thought they had done their military duty to go back to Iraq. If there comes a time when it is necessary to use military force with Iran......where will we get the people?

This is another in a long list of reasons why we should have never gone into Iraq.

We should have kept our troops in Afghanistan and finished the job that we started there but instead this administration decided to pull out troops from Afghanistan and put them into Iraq.

The result:

Iraq is a disaster with almost 2,700 of our military killed, thousands wounded physically and mentally, and even more thousands of innocent Iraqis are dead.

Afghanistan is pretty much right back to where it was before we went in

Iran is probably the biggest threat and our military is so depleted that if we do have to go in, we will be at a disadvantage.

Way to go Team Bush!
