Maybe the listing today isn't her mistake but Amazon's mistake. Why isn't that a possibility? I see NO benefit for her to say it wouldn't be available on April 4 and then have it show up.

Remember that when someone tries to convince you to sell there is something in it for them. It's not because they are concerned about your investment.
