Truehart, I agree with you, but keep in mind almost all production and mining makes waste, the trick id to find uses for it all. The problem I have with fly ash is can be radioactive. It is used some concrete and for hazardous waste solidification....

That said on the renewable power issue I like a little known company that has a process for converting CO2 into syn gas or formates as way to store renewable power for later use to make products like fertilizer and plastics, or it can be used later to generate power. MVTG , Mantra energy is the firm. they already have 7 issued international patents, and one is an entirely new generation of fuel cell that runs on formates and costs 20% of what a hydrogen fuel cell costs.
