Excellent article and of course zero mention of ACA
What is talked about and is key is the infrastructure program
And the author is suggesting the GOV sell its 80% interest in F and F
So assume dilution of 4:1 but that is still a PPS of double digit approaching 15-18 dollars a share
From the article - which is ONE author
The target of the prayers is Mnuchin, who has signaled his sympathy for GSE shareholders. “It makes no sense that these are owned by the government and have been controlled by the government for as long as they have,” Mnuchin said in November. Were the GSEs to go fully public, taxpayers would have a lot to gain. “Fannie and Freddie have a value of $200 billion. That’s 20% of what Donald Trump needs for his infrastructure spending,” says Tim Pagliara, CEO of CapWealth Advisors of Franklin, Tenn., who put his clients into preferred shares in 2008.
Me again
So if 200B and if even then 100B and 100B
Our 20% of 100B for Fannie is $20Billion
Compare $20B with the current market capitalization at a below 3 dollar a share price and (?) about 1.3B shares outstanding
$20B divided by 1.3Billion shares is over $15 a share !!!!
