From an email link posted here, I did send my thoughts on the Mako piece to The BBJ co-author. My hope was that he might consider raising the larger issue of the serial manipulation that Mako and his ilk have been able to perpetrate against multiple small companies. Allowing SeekingAlpha so "anonymize" the authors of hit pieces removes the balance of legal liability from the "short" side of the equation. If a company cannot "face their accusers" that certainly leaves an unbalanced formula in my opinion.
Why should the system allow someone to stand behind a wall of concealment and hurtle stones with no recourse for the victim of the stoning?
In my opinion, perhaps if nothing else, Cellceutix is the perfect poster child for the legal need to prevent this type of shielded manipulation in the future. Aspersions would most likely be cast much more carefully if your victim could sue your pants off.
