You have to think international. For example, there are countries which offer tax incentives on inward dollars from sale of assets. That could be a reason for the relentless selling down, but can only be proven once the shares held by whoever run out. I know it is popular to suggest that Glencore is the bogeyman here, but the majority shareholding is diversified all over the place. Millions of shares have been dumped in recent months. Has anyone any proof that Glencore's holding has reduced by millions?
