I doubt Elijah was paid by MGTI or under any kind of contract just because MGTI never filed an employment contract for Elijah Anderson in any SEC filings. If he was hired as the CTO and put under contract then that employment contract would have been a requirement to show up in an SEC filings. It did not.
The MGTI SEC filings originally stated that Elijah would become the CTO upon the closing of the Demon Saw acquisition.

Later when they proxy statements were filed for shareholders to vote on the authorize the Demon Saw/D-Vasive acquisition (among other things), there was no mention at all about hiring Eric "Elijah" Anderson as the CTO or about offering him an employment contract

That suggests there was no plan of ever hiring Elijah Anderson as CTO, and it makes you wonder why they continued to suggest that Anderson was the CTO for months after that.
Either way, the acquisition of Demom Saw never happened. The proposed acquisition was used to run a massive pump & dump on MGTI using misleading press releases, misleading statements by John McAfee, Tiffany Madison, and Elijah Anderson on social media, and through false information on the MGTI website and Elijah Anderson's twitter page which both listed Elijah as the CTO of MGTI over a long stretch of time.
Elijah was listed as the CTO of MGTI on the MGTI website from July 2016 until February 2017. That information can easily be verified through the wayback machine website

The way MGTI mislead investors about Elijah's role with MGTI was very similar to how MGTI mislead investors: 1) by listing D-Vasive as an MGTI product on their website from July 2016 through February 2017; 2) by listing Demon Saw as a product on the MGTI website for several months and constantly tweeted about progress MGTI was making on Demon Saw related products; 3) by calling John McAfee the Chairman and CEO starting months before he ever held any official executive positions with MGTI; 4) about the bitcoin operations by referring to the facility they pay to use in Washington as "their facility".
All that misleading information (including saying Elijah Anderson was the CTO of MGTI) was presented to the public in an effort to mislead and help pump the MGTI share price. Very dirty/illegal stuff.
People on the MGTI side have a proven track record of spinning lies and deceit to anybody willing to listen, but since some people believe everything that the MGTI group says (despite all the lies and misleading information they have been caught spinning already) the matter will be settled once and for all when the 10K hits between March 31st and April 15th.
The 10K will have to list all executives/directors the MGTI put under contract and paid during the 2016 fiscal year. If Eric Anderson is not listed as a paid MGTI executive in the 10K we know that Tiffany Madison is telling flat out lies to MGTI shareholders (again).
This is a good screen shot to save but I'd love for somebody to post a screen shot of the actual email that Tiffany Madison is sending out telling people that Elijah Anderson has an employment contract with MGTI and has been getting paid $17,000/month under that contract. I've been saving a lot of screen shots where MGTI has already been caught telling lies to the public and would love to add a screen shot of her email to that collection.
