It doesn't appear there is any description of the process used to produce the signage, but far and away the bulk of backlit static (non-changing) signs in the world are "printed" using a 4-color a digit printer or a press, such as screenprinting or offset. Aside from newer dynamic technologies, such as LED video, these methods of doing graphics are Schramm's competition when he is "promoting" LightSheets. The traditional processes and final images are "comparatively" inexpensive.

Even if the applications being referenced were done with LightSheets, it is a good bet Schramm once again is "running a test" and giving the stuff away! Jimmy-Boy has yet to ever provide a competitive analysis comparing "other ways of the doing the same job."

JMHO...based upon the information James Schramm has provided and the "anticpated" competitive comparisons, traditional printing is far less expensive and many many companies have the equipment and methods to do the jobs. Video, i.e. a real-time "changing" image, is dynamic, not static like LightSheets, yielding a much better "advertising impact" at probably about the same overall lifetime cost.

IMO...LIGHTSHEETS IS A TECHNOLOGY, DEVELOPED IN INDIA, WHICH IS LOOKING FOR A MARKET; HOWEVER, IT IS QUITE LIKELY THE "MARKET" DOES NOT EXIST!
