China just approved 38 new trademarks for the Trump brand, including for escort services

The People’s Republic of China has granted the approval of 38 new trademarks for the Trump brand, including massage parlors, hotels and escort services.

The trademarks were applied for last year, during the presidential campaign in April. At that point in the year, Donald Trump was well on his way to winning the Republican Party’s nomination for president. He secured his nomination in May of 2016.

The trademark approvals came in an unusually fast manner, the Hill reports. They will go into effect in 90 days, so long as no one makes a formal objection to them.

They include trademarks for “spas, massage parlors, golf clubs, hotels, insurance, finance and real-estate companies, retail shops, restaurants, bars, and private bodyguard and escort services,” according to Business Insider.
