I think it's more accurate to say Dimension spent hundreds of thousands of dollars initially trying to get Tmmi's claim tossed on the statute of limitations, to avoid discovery, and fail at that, and then to launch a series of specious counterclaims that mostly went down in flames.

They ended up possibly "winning" 54K commercially unviable code, and getting skewered on fees, but I don't think this is what they planned. Thus the appeal of their loss on fees, and the vague and likely empty threat to launch more lawsuits.
