7:35AM Samsung/Sony pact may be viewed as incremental negative for LEXR and SNDK : Samsung Electronics and Sony Corp today announced that an agreement has been reached whereby Samsung is licensed by Sony to manufacture and sell Memory Stick media. Samsung will begin in-house manufacturing and sales of Memory Stick media from the third quarter of 2003. (Briefing.com note: The news can be viewed as a moderate negative for LEXR and SNDK, competing manufacturers of the memory media).
