So first question,......was this rigged?
Never happened before in how many years? Even though it said at the end that only the accounting firm knew who the winners were, the show's producers came running out pretty quickly to fix the mistake.
Should Warren Beatty have stopped to mention something didn't look right? Was he trying to throw Faye Dunaway under the bus by making her read the result?
The group from LaLaLand were very gracious indeed.
Overall I thought Kimmel bombed badly. I thought many of his jokes were just mean spirited. Too much time wasted on his fake feud with Matt Damon (the show is not your personal stage Jimmy).
The bringing in of the people from the tour bus certainly seemed to me like they were actors, and the bit went nowhere.
When I watched Fences I was so impressed how Viola Davis could start bawling on cue, however, after watching the Oscars and her acceptance speech (or what I like to call, her audition for Fences part deux), my only thought was, did I miss her getting the Nobel Peace Prize?
I did not see the movie that won so have no opinion on it, however, while I did enjoy LaLaLand, unless it goes back in time to 1942, I can't imagine it winning best movie of the year.
Last thought, apparently the Jews have forgiven Mel Gibson. He made his way back to the front row.
