Fannie and Freddie are Trumps "coup de tat". Obama might have had fun at the Washington press corp dinner poking fun at Trump. However, IMO Trump is going to make Obama look like a thief, and put in everyone's mind the question of whether Obama was really so righteous and Democrats trustworthy.

This is what he has been waiting for, and it hinges on Mnuchin getting into office to start the fireworks. Better believe there might also be a DOJ investigation with Sessions of who was involved in the NWS. Clinton is small potatoes, a red herring to get the base fired up. And where did the money go? Did some of it go to Iran? Interesting! This could get really bad really fast.

The original conservatorship won't be questioned (my accounting vs.yours), but the NWS seems illegal, and if any of it can be proven in court you better believe they may take people to court.
