janice -- yep, one rather notorious for some of his previous work -- has been sounding an alarm re Trump the asshat authoritarian for a fair while now -- though he still has yet to acknowledge that we are now (well) beyond just 'preconditions' being present/Trump just having a playbook he 'could' use -- and is clearly still captured by his own favored ideologically-driven reckoning as reflected in his opening framing there (including in particular the various other pending factors not mentioned) (again, to have the link here, at https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/03/how-to-build-an-autocracy/513872/ ):
