how can WE be losing in Iraq? We are not fighting iraq.

Iraqis are losing in Iraq from our point of view

WE are losing in that (a) the only goal out of many that were stated that has been accomplished was the overthrow of Saddam; (b) the situation that currently exists is deteriorating into one of the two or three worst case scenarios--either civil war and a failed state where enemies of the US both gain practice and techniques for fighting our allies or a state allied with Iran that is an enemy both of Israel and the US, not to mention Westernization in general.
