You do a blood test every 2 years. The test come back positive then you remove ovaries before growing or spreading.

Well is there specificity for ovarian cancer rather than some other previously undetected cancer? That's not clear to me. With positive results one can say that there is cancer there somewhere but what kind of cancer. The way the trial was run the researchers knew a priori that cancer in question was ovarian. If the test was run in the general population could a physician know what type of cancer to look for and where it is likely to reside?
