"ovoviviparous"

Is that the same deal with sharks? I remember a time on Kwajalein during a Teen Club outing to another island when a couple of guys caught a shark. They cut it open and there were two babies. We watched them swim around in a bucket... until they died.

The "worm" story made my skin crawl. eek. smile

A friend of mine at work raises snakes. For a while he was breeding them. When the two girls came along, he got rid of the poisonous ones. I asked why he didn't just get rid of the poison sacks. He explained that they would starve to death. The poison breaks down the meat of their prey so they can digest it. Explains why it does such a number on human flesh when they bite into it.

BTW... I once told him that his wife must love him A LOT! No man is worth 30 plus snakes in the basement... Ick.
